The Admissions and Recruitment Committee includes 15 members: 10 faculty, the NTP Director, 2 NTP Staff, and 2
NTP students. The Committee is responsible for evaluating, interviewing, and accepting student applicants for
admission. The Committee also helps organize recruitment activities.
The Recruitment Subcommittee includes 5 members: 3 NTP students and 2 NTP Staff. The Committee organizes
the new student applicant recruit visits in late February/early March. Each event takes place over a week, with two
virtual sessions in February and one in-person event in March. The Committee organizes chalk talks, lab visits, and
individual interviews over 3-4 days. For in-person, the subcommittee organizes visits of the Madison area, student
houses, campus, etc. Committee members host lunches, dinners, and lab visits during these events.
